The National Stud has revealed the stud fees for their stallion roster for 2020 headlined by newcomer Advertise.
Phoenix Thoroughbreds’ star sprinter won three Group One’s during his career, taking the Phoenix Stakes as a juvenile before going on to land the Commonwealth Cup and Prix Maurice de Gheest as a three-year-old. The son of Showcasing will command a stud fee of £25,000.
“Advertise possessed the perfect combination of speed, precocity and toughness,” Said Stud director Tim Lane. “His three Group 1 victories cemented him as one of the best sprinters of his generation and we are very confident he has the physical attributes to be the complete package for breeders.”
Advertise isn’t the only stallion Phoenix Thoroughbreds have an interest in at The National Stud. The Dubai-based operation also holds a large stake in Aclaim, who will stand at £9,500 for his third breeding season. His first foals will be hitting the sales later this month after he proved to be a popular choice with breeders.
“Aclaim has been very well supported throughout his first two seasons at stud,” Lane said of the Prix de la Foret winner. “He represents excellent value at his current fee and we are confident his first foals will be well received at the upcoming sales.”
Phoenix Thoroughbreds plan to support both stallions in the sales ring and with their own mares.
