Satish Seemar added to Phoenix Ladies training team.

Phoenix Ladies Syndicate will have horses trained by Satish Seemar for the first time when the new UAE season gets underway later this month.

The all-female group have enjoyed plenty of success in Dubai, coming to prominence with high-profile victories through the Ahmad bin Harmash trained pair Walking Thunder and Golden Jaguar, while last season the Syndicate had a first winner with Salem bin Ghadayer.

Generally considered one of the leading trainers in the Emirates, Satish Seemar will take charge of three horses for ‘PLS’  at his famous Zabeel Stables.

Star Cluster, one of three Phoenix Ladies’ horses to be trained by Satish Seemar this season.

Shamran, is a well-bred son of Dialed In, out of listed winning and Grade three placed mare Plaid. Purchased from the Goffs breeze-up sale earlier this year he can also boast Preakness Stakes placed Senior Investment as a close relative. A Munnings colt named Star Cluster is another that will carry the Ladies’ orange and white silks this season. His page is full of black type success stories and includes among them Asti, the winner of the Group One Prix Saint-Alary. Completing the Zabeel trio is an unnamed Speigtster colt out of winning mare Holy Dazzle. With Grade Three winners in among his family tree, the grey has arrived n Dubai via the US, a path taken by several of Phoenix Ladies’ stars.

“Satish’s record speaks for itself,” Said Phoenix Ladies Principal Pamela Cordina.

“He continues to find the winners enclosure on a regular basis and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to have horses with him.

“Overall, it’s shaping up to be an exciting season, our third in Dubai. We have three top trainers on our roster now and some of returning equine stars are showing great form at home. Add into the mix some nice newcomers and I can say we are very positive about the months ahead.”
