The daughter of I Am Invincible gave birth to a striking filly by Pierata this season, and her owners are delighted to have her in foal to a multiple champion stallion.
In a racing career competed entirely at Group level, “Gaby” won four of her 13 starts, including the Manikato and William Reid Stakes, while also placing on a further five occasions. Her current foal has drawn plenty of attention, with Segenhoe boss Peter O’Brien stating:
“Her first foal is the best foal on our farm. She’s got the most beautiful head, very much stamped by her sire, plus the strength and substance from her mother. She’s got great limbs, she looks fast, has a good shoulder and a terrific action.
“She’s one of the better foals I’ve ever seen and I’d be surprised if we get a better one this season.”
Exciting times lie ahead for the Dubai-based owners’ breeding operation in Australia. Also based at Segenhoe, a number of the team’s yearlings are impressing the team, including another I Am Invincible filly, this one out of Group One winner Anamoe’s half-sister Amuletum. In addition, Phoenix has high hopes for a filly out of their former race-filly Silver Frost by Coolmore’s Triple Crown winner Justify.
