“Everything you want in a Snitzel” is how the team at Aquis have described Loving Gaby’s latest foal.
Phoenix Thoroughbreds’ dual Group One winner gave birth to a filly at the Queensland Stud on Monday (August 15). The new arrival is the second foal for the William Reid and Manikato Stakes heroine after she produced another filly, this time by Pierata, in her inaugural season as a broodmare.
Rated as “outstanding” by Segenhoe, where she’s based, there will be plenty taking a keen interest in how “Gaby’s” first progeny continues to develop, with the now yearling likely to head to the sales in early 2023.
With a superb page coupled with her exploits on the track, Loving Gaby has the potential to be a flagship mare for her Dubai-based owners. The Phoenix team are incredibly excited she’ll be covered by their part-owned and shuttled stallion Aclaim this year after the Prix de la Foret winner arrived at Aquis from the National Stud in Newmarket over the weekend.
The latest addition to the Phoenix Thoroughbreds Australian roster is the second foal the Group One winning breeders welcomed in 2022. Earlier in the month Sebring mare Sedanzer gave birth to a flashy chestnut filly by Trapeze Artist.
