About The Horse

Purchased for 300,000gns at the 2017 Tattersalls Craven Breeze-up Sale, this exciting four-year-old son of Lonhro lost his maiden tag at the third attempt, winning a novice stakes on the all-weather at Chelmsford in November.

He returned to action in February 2018, winning at both Newcastle and Kempton before returning to the venue of his first victory to land the Listed Burradon Stakes.

That win guaranteed him a berth in the Kentucky Derby but, sadly, a setback ruled him out of that engagement, but he made his US and dirt debut with a fantastic effort to finish second in the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes, behind Triple Crown winner Justify.

After a few underwhelming runs, the decision was taken to ship "The Big Boy", as he is affectionately known, to Dubai and target the World's richest race, The Dubai World Cup. It proved to be an inspired move as under the stewardship of trainer Salem bin Ghadyer the colt produced a massive run to finish runner-up by a nose behind the dual winner of the race Thunder Snow. It was a run that proved what his owners already knew, that he is a top-class horse and planning is underway over his next target.
