Following a promising juvenile campaign, the Peter Miller trainer Forest Caraway is shaping into a filly with a big future.
A winner on debut at Del Mar, her trainer didn't hide his enthusiasm for her when plunging her straight into the Gade One Del Mar Debutante Stakes second time up. His confidence wasn't misplaced as she ran a stormer to find just one too good. Although that would be that for her two-year-old season, she returned as a three-year-old to shrug off a long absence to impress with a wide margin victory on her first start at three before adding a second Graded Stakes placed effort to her record in the G3 Torrey Pines Stakes at Delmar.
A daughter of G1 producer Bodemeister, Forest Caraway is out of winning mare Thin Disguise. A half-sister to Grade Three winner Holiday Disguise her black-type laden family tree also includes Graded stakes winner Naughty Newyorker.
