Phoenix Thoroughbreds’ Grade One winner Dream Tree has given birth to her second foal with her latest offspring arriving at Denali Stud on Wednesday night.
The colt by Spendthrift Farm’s super stallion Into Mischief arrived in the early evening and is already making a fine impression.
“Dream Tree has produced an outstanding looking colt with a brilliant pedigree,” said Denali’s Conrad Bandoroff. “It’s very early days but the colt looks like he’s bred – speed on speed.
“This is only the mare’s second foal but looking at what she has produced so far, I’d be very hopeful she’s developing into the top-class broodmare ourselves and Phoenix were hoping she would do.”
Dream Tree’s first foal, a filly by Curlin, was another attractive looking youngster and she appears to have built on that with her 2022 arrival. The team at Phoenix will be hoping she can make it three in a row when she gets covered by Gun Runner in the upcoming season.
The daughter of Uncle Mo was a winner of five of her seven starts, picking up the Grade One Starlet Stakes in her juvenile campaign. She later added two Grade Two titles to her resume before becoming a broodmare.
