The victory for Red Hare King additionally represents the further development of Phoenix’s Fragrance as one of their leading broodmares. Her page already recorded her as the dam of Angelic Scent, a two-time winner in Australia who also has a Listed-placed effort on her CV and now boasts winner in Asia. Her own dam Dextrous was a Group Two, Three and Listed winner before embarking on her high-class broodmare career. Alongside Fragrance, she also produced Group One winners Willowy and Skilled, plus the Golden Slipper runner-up and Group Two winner Sidestep and the high-class Amidexter.
Fragrance’s latest foal is a colt by international sensation Zoustar, which is bound to attract some attention as he continues his development.
