Phoenix Thoroughbreds three-time Group One winner Advertise will once again headline the National Stud Stallion roster, despite seeing his fee unchanged for the new year.
The son of Showcasing will again stand for £25,000 after enjoying a stellar first season at stud. 67 black-type producers or performers supported the winner of the Phoenix Stakes, Commonwealth Cup and Prix Maurice De Gheest among a book of 138 mares. They included the dams of Aclaim, Dick Whittington and Maarek.
Also, part of the Phoenix breeding operation, the aforementioned Aclaim’s fee stays set at £9,500. The Group One-winning son of Acclamation had his first yearlings go through the ring this year with Shadwell going to 145,000gns for a colt out of the winning Kyllachy mare Kendal Mint at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
Stud director Tim Lane said:
“We’re very excited to announce our stallion fees for the upcoming breeding season. Undoubtedly, breeders are the backbone of our industry and 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone. The resilience to date shown by the industry has been truly remarkable.
“We recognise the current challenges and our team will endeavour to work with breeders to provide the most suitable terms in these unprecedented times.”
